Neeed advice on my Thark WIP
I'm pretty terrible when it comes to digital sculpting, especially with humanoid figures, but I'm trying to improve. I'm working on this creature design based on a Thark from Edgar Rice Burroughs' Mars novels, and I need some general advice on how to proceed. Any suggestions on anatomy and stuff like that? -

Also, if you're looking for critique, you should post in 2D Showcase & Critiques. Digital Sketchbooks gets a lot less traffic, it acts as more of a loose parking area than an active crit zone. I can move this topic there if you like, let me know. -

(Grammar policing here: "better" not "more better") Right now it feels like we're only moving the joints closest to the body and not extending the end digits when they reach for new ground. Perhaps this will overall help it feel less stiff with the crabs. And what is the purpose of this animation exactly? -

I'm way too cheap for these things. I'll just get an old HP TX series off ebay and stick windows 8, and some nice graphics apps on it. The Wacom digitizers built into them aren't the greatest but they are decent for sketching around, and the pens are pressure sensitive but not great. -

Wow, I thought they pretty much just made barbie games (from my impression when they visited Dare to be Digital). Glad to be proved wrong, they make some cool games and the videos make me want to work there :D Looks like a really good studio.
