Let's start it :) I started making this creature in 10 August, but I found time today to finish it. I spent on it about +/-3h and I think that I could spent more time to improve some parts. @edit Today I will put also something that reminds human.

I was really enjoying it up until the first big fight scene where he takes on that small army it had its moments though, and the cg/creature work was amazing I loved when he first arrived there and met all the different species/learned how to walk
My current project is a submission in the Artstation Beneath the Waves 3D character/creature competition. Here is the most recent image. I am still working on the rocky pedestal and textures across everything. Less than 2 weeks till its due now! Anyone else participating?
i know this doesnt help as much, but if you can get a copy or trial of kaldera, try it. it is much more robust and understandable. i have a copy at work, and all the creature guys ask me to process their normals as it does such a better, cleaner job than max7 does natively.
These are some great reference pics! I have a natural fear of nearly all non-mammalian aquatic creatures, arthropods x10. Lobsters and all their seafood friends actually frighten me more than scorpions do. Roaches, waterbugs, and mantii rank scarier than catfish though.
Cthulhu ia ia! Fhtagn! Blaaarrghh! Or however it goes ... I have deep, moist love for Call of Cthulhu first, and Lovecraft himself not far behind. Some of my first actually-pretty-good character models and animation were on Mythos creatures. I can't wait for this game!
We are In need for a character modeller/texturer to start in around 2 weeks time working up until mid december. The characters are bipedal and organic creature like.
