hello im working on a blend texture for a special effect. this texture blends over multiple props in the scene, and i am having problems with different props having slightly different texel densities. so im wondering if there is a way to have the blend textures UV scale in all the materials that use it the same, by maybe…
Hi all, atm i work at Urban Environment scene and finally i started texturing(didn't ever think that it's so time consuming to texture some props... about 4-5 days for this few props). I'v never made texturing work before(except 3DMotive contest), so any critics and advices would be great. Texture maps: Props in UDK mesh…
Update on Goblin Project I've started modeling and texturing some props for our environment. Iv'e tried to make all the props as modular as I can so I can make a bunch of different rooms for the player to enter and it won't feel to similar. Most of the props are in parts so I can then put them together and prefab them…

Wall Worm turned 2 years old last week. To celebrate I loaded a new version today along with a new video. This video details creating a basic physics prop in Max... then a more advanced prop with custom gibs (a feature I should have demonstrated a long time ago... but I'm not the best at keeping up with myself on the…

After unsuccesfully trying the environment, I just decided I would give a try to the prop instead, since I always had a blast doing props (the only reason I tried to do the environment is that I was always told that a prop artist had to be good at environment as well but hehhhhh for the life of me I just can't). Here is…
keep in mind some surfaces wont look how there supose to with out an appropriate specular on it. i find rubber and plastics fall into that category most the time. the wood looks fine. it also looks brand new, which as a portfolio piece ='s boring. a prop is just a prop with out a story to it. think up some type of life…
Yea stickers are a good idea to break it up, also the texture size for most of what I do i start with 2048's, then when it comes to finishing time I usually cut down to 1024, or 512 depending on prop size. Also I see waht you mean about the scratches... they kinda look like the same scratch over and over, I'll do some more…
