Hi all,
atm i work at
Urban Environment scene and finally i started texturing(didn't ever think that it's so time consuming to texture some props... about 4-5 days for this few props).
I'v never made texturing work before(except 3DMotive contest), so any critics and advices would be great.
Texture maps:
Props in UDK mesh viewer and Maya:
Scene in UDK:
<-- strange light effect on wood crate middle plank
as you can see here are much overlapped UVs, so second UV set for UDK lightmap was made.
Normal map was made by nDo2, hope i made it not so bad :S
Thank you for viewing

Diffuse
Normal
Specular
And one more question. Is it good to make single big map for multiple unique props or better will be to make multiple smaller maps?
2Visceral, yep, thank you very much, that's it +_+
I supposed to make this environment for texture practicing without highpoly.. but looks like it fails a bit... at least with using generated normal map.
And what did you mean with "way to weak"? too low poly or what?
Is there any way to make good normal map without using hi-poly?
And don't be afraid to add a few more polygons on some of the rounder objects like the fire extinguisher.
