Hi all, New Unity user here. I’m coming with experience predominantly in Unreal so Unity is new for me. * I’m having issues getting Unity 6.3 with HDRP to use packages. Whenever I install a new package I get the following error message and not sure how to resolve it. My Unity hub version is at the latest version (as of…
Scene 16 - Riding the Lions This scene is one of my favorites because it presented a big challenge as I needed to integrate the movement of the camera with the movement of the running characters into the video background traveling. In addition, I had to made visible the shadows over the background video. So I used again a…
I know nothing about RockStarSD so this is all general observations I've witnessed in the past. If anyone did have insider info they probably wouldn't or couldn't share. Pretty classic tactic to slash head count after the release of a game. Everyone should know to dust off the resume and portfolio after a project ships. If…
Delete your prefrences in My Documents. I am at work at the moment but I had a similar issue not too long a go. There is a file in your My Documents in the Maya folder. Just delete it. Restart and it will work.
the problem with moving the iris alone is. I did not set it up that way. when I want to move each I do even in 3d. I separate the eye into 3 parts for independent movement. but for this one. I went with a single sphere for each eye. movement is done by bone animation. but the eye is changing shape despite being bone…

This project has already gone through a few development phases, including work by previous teams. Right now, I have: * A working project (built in Unity) * A rough GDD (Game…
I recommend Frank Polygon's Sketchbook for some very nice hard surface modeling writeups and inspiration. Perhaps start a sketchbook thread yourself, to document your learnings. When starting out (share recent works to give people an idea where you're at), I would focus on making good looking assets and don't stress too…
Gah! Just when I think everything is working great... I find out that it isn't. I'm actually surprised that this isn't a more well-known procedure. To Recap, this is my workflow: 1.) Create a tileable alpha in PS to show basic height details. 2.) Displace a plane in ZBrush using this alpha. 3.) Sculpt additional details…
No worries about that, I've been kinda silent lately too! About the screenshots, at the moment they are saved into the Documents folder, but I agree that having a configurable path would be nice. I'll add it to the rendering tab, so that it will be configurable on a per-document basis. Cool model/texture btw! :)
Well it's not an unlit shader since he uses dynamic lights/shadows. Also on videos, we can see normal maps reacting to dynamic lights. Lambert/Blinn shading/(cubemap reflection) on dynamic objects, most specular/reflections directly baked down into the diffuse map, directionnal lightmaps... It's a mix. We kinda do the same…
