I just bought the first set of those dvds. The basics to draw human structure from your mind, the free drawing sessions on his website, alone give you alot of advice to how one should start when he is making a figure arts. Lets see if this works out for me, it looks very promising. -

Signed. I don't think it's cool to use pigs or other livestock as shark bait either. I don't know where to draw the line though. I mean, I don't really have a problem with using other fish as shark bait. I guess I draw the line at reptiles. Or at least anything domesticated. -

When are we going to get to a point where we no longer need the tablet? I can't wait until it's just a pen and some sort of USB location point (like the Wii's tv bar). You could then set the drawing area to any size you wanted and draw on any surface you wanted. Get on it Wacom. -

Looks alright. I think your scaling is a bit off. Those big round canisters are much larger in the concept and draw the eye in a way yours does not. I think maybe your ceiling is too low as well. As for the concept. Are you sure that's a drawing? It looks like a game enviro already to me. -

You really shouldn't do floors like that. You're using over 20 draw calls for that small piece of floor (Epic recommends less than 2000 draw calls). In this case I'd probably use BSP. But I do agree that lightmass isn't that stellar when you know its limitations :( -
Re: modo 10.1 - instance radial array is moving my object pivot
Instances are still mesh items, so they still have their own pivot and center. I believe you are looking for Replicators, not mesh instances. Keep in mind you'll need to enable replicator drawing under Viewport settings ("o" key), drawing and control tab to see more than just their bounding box. -

Noted, I will make some time to try high poly work, and cut down a bit on quantity. Should I remove the Game Jam and Drawing portion of my portfolio then? I feel like it doesn't serve me well, but I read online its good to show some drawings/concepts.
