Sculpt I recently finished as a study. Wanted to push the tertiary detailing and properly study the variety of pores/wrinkles that are there when you really look closely. :) I opted for a stark B&W render to give prominence to these micro-details. C&C very welcome. I've been fiddling for hours with the values/tonal range…
Oh goodness. I heard about this contest and got stupid excited. I've a few ideas floating around in my head, mainly for Elise. But I might change it up if it just isn't going how I like. WIPS and the like to follow. The first being a 20 minute rough block of B/W thumbnail.
I still have a long way to go before I plan to start going to school again. I am planning on doing digital media; however, the rout I wish to go is quick w/ minimal math and and language courses, preferably none at all. are there any schools like this? I just want to be able to say i went to school at some point. any…
Hi guys, did not know where to post this, so here we go. How long should an Environment Art test take? I know prop- few smaller props take up to a week. What if it is a full environment w/ atmosphere and such. Is it still one week? Is asking for 2 weeks too much? Please let me know asap! Thank you.
Hi, my question is: w hat's the best way to model for realtime even if that's not really a game but it's a realtime archviz, i must have only one mesh for the object as an exemple a table the desk and the leg must be a cylinder from a box or i can make a box and on top of it a cylinder and then simply attached but without…

Yeah we'll be in Seattle proper. I think the boys are staying at the W. Really the only dates that work for me are Monday (holiday) and Wednesday. Bit unfortunately since it falls on weekdays. Sunday night maybe, but the other 2 guys get in to town late Sunday night and will probably be a bit groggy. Maybe its a good idea…
I didn't see this until today, but wow. This looks pretty amazing so far! I've been learning UDK to work on my own idea/project for quite a little while now that is startlingly similar. 80's set sci-fi horror on the Moon, non-combat w/ enemy ala Amnesia:Dark Descent... I'll be following this one for sure!
Slightly dissagree, seeing as its a remake of this http://www.combineoverwiki.net/w/images/9/9a/USP_Match.jpg I think he pretty much nailed it, however I agree that the bolts on the grip do look out of place. I think if you change it too much to be like the real life version you will lose the half life 2 feel of the weapon.
Have you tried "tweak mode" in the standard move tool? This mode lets you select and move a vert/face/edge in a single click. Coupled with soft selection and either a Live object or Surface Slide toggled on, you'll get similar results without going into quad draw. These can be turned on in the move tool options, or the…
