Lightwave [9]!!!!!!
Newtek-Lightwave 9 LW 9 will have real and total support for edge manipulation, as well as the modeling tools set is now acessible in Layout for those of you that want a single work environment! There are now also sub-d modeling with n-gons as well as faster sub-d surfaces in general. -

Well it's been a while since i've posted, i'm finally settled in Orlando FL at N-space as an artist. Anyways here's some random sketches i did tonight, i'm trying to do more 2d stuff lately to get those skills up ^_^. comments crits welcome -

It looks awesome. I really enjoy your work. But i have a problem. I always thought you NEED to have quads. And now i see this beatiful modells with quads and n-gons. could someone please give me an explanation? -
Re: Shading issue on flat surfaces?
Still can't get rid of all the shading. Max says I have T-verts in those area which can cause shading errors. I assumed that they were N-gons but in most cases they are quads. Am really stuck here. -

I installed TexTools on Win10 x64 on Max 2017 SP3 as well without any problem. Did you try to run Max as admin? If not mistaken that will allowed you to drag n drop the mzp to the viewport or try from the Scripting > Run Script. -

This is where I am with the rebuild, I will replace this image as I progress. Comments are welcome (please note that this is far from finished, topology critiques are fine but pointing out tris or n-gons is pointless as all of the subdivisions are not yet in place). Thank You -

I spy with my little eye, an n-gon on your elbow that arm is never going to animate properly if you dont fix that. edit: upon further inspection you seem to have a lot of ngons.. mostly in thigh/knee/elbow areas -

Yeah, some shueeet stuff on there. I pop in every now 'n again for a leisurely browse mainly too distress which BTW never fails to put a smile on my dial plus the hand painted texture thread as well, while I'm at it... :) -

wow real art! with paint n stuff! the last one is my favourite, love the reds would it be lowering the tone to suggest 2 cranes would make a cool scrolling shooter edit: heh neo I'm not being sarcastic its cool
