I have problem with Maya. When i zoom out my model i always see the rest of the edges from the others. Of course, when i modeling too, i see the edges from the others side of the model something like this
Is it possible to smooth an entire model which has seperate parts at once? I've grouped my models parts into an organised hierarchy, selecting the root and then smoothing only smooths one object. Another crappy Maya issue or am I missing something?

Anyone know hoe to convert maya hair to mesh in a way that it retains the texturing? I tried converting the pfxHair to mesh but it doesn't maintain the texture. Any help will be much appreciated.
