Hey everyone, First time posting!I am working on the Bioshock shotgun. Any feed back or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Here is the concept: And the HighPoly so far. (3dsMax/Zbrush)
Hi everyone ive been neglecting the scene for a while, and now im in need of a tool to retopologize some highpoly props for a proto what would be my best choice as of now?
Hello, I'm working on this rifle. It shoots lasers Its in an early stage, but if anyone has some feedback feel free to post it. There is my blockout: I will then proceed with the highpoly. Again c&c much appreciated !
Almost done with the highpoly model of this Russian piece of machinery. Small Things like the tracks and other small details are left to be done.. Some pictures: Any C&C is welcome! :)
Why are uv seams difficult for you @JoshexDirad ? Every single 3d model has them, and it's a solved problem. Highpoly baking, triplanar projection, 3d procedurals, 3d paint, etc.
There are two ways to create UVs for such highpoly assets. One is to uv your basemesh. If you dont have a basemesh create a autoretopo. Do the uvs there and transfer them.
I would look into the lighting and material definition / shading a bit more. As this is the weak spot right now with the realtime head. The highpoly looks really great btw.
http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Normal_Map_Modeling#Edge_Thickness Quick tip: Look at how Thick the edge are on this example. :) Just a small helper for when you start modelling the highpoly :)
Thanks :D Yea i painted the eyes badly and now she's looking inward toolazytofixrightnow :P Not a huge issue though, just for the sake of highpoly previews.
