I think you should remove the classroom environment. Not only is the quality lower, but it's also simpler and less interesting than the Victorian stuff and the sub-base. Plus: that's casino carpet, not classroom carpet; and Alienware in a classroom, doubt it. edit: woops, didn't see your last post. My bad. -

1st pass on the bricks, needs work but I think its coming along.. the main thing is I've noticed, is that victorian brickwork is layered out differently (big brick little brick.) I may also need to up the contrast.. I will post my brick texture on its own later! -

I think it'll give you the most opportunity to expand your knowledge and try lots of different techniques and ideas. It's going to be pretty fun :) Here's a quick sketch I did just now for the throne, since the Victorian era was so very ornate, I decided to go juuuust a little over the top for the throne. I'll add more gears to it when the actual model is done, mostly because making an animated throne would be awesome. -

Putting lights in that scene might solve a lot of your problem. Gaslights or something else equally steampunkish/victorian. Also, some of them surfaces that are so empty could use some decoration, or breaking up into large slabs of stone. Maybe a relief with the same motif as the row of statues on top of the collonade?… -
