K going to throw this right at the start. But I have 0 rigging/messing with node experience. So tried doing what Wrath mentioned and think its what he said. Hopefully its correct XD Anywho, what I did is: 1. Create a sphere. Poly or nurbs whatever suits ya :) 2. Open up hypergraph. Gonna be easier to select stuff. 3. Click…
Frezno, 4 sides don't make a circle! :P Great render :) Edit: in case anybody new to the 3D modeling is wondering it, (so, I'm not talking with you Frezno, it's clear you know what you are doing) here's a visual explanation to the 4 sides issue for the circle:
EDIT: Seams there is no way to do exactly what I asked for: Thanks to all who commented. -This is the model I have to work with, it is a CT scan of a part, of a Femur bone. And I need to close these holes (Black areas/Where there are no faces). As you can see on the image, some areas need to look like areas that are…
Ok, I fixed it 5 minutes after posting. For anyone else having this problem here is what fixed it: I made the geometry nonplanar. This piece of geo is a circle with a vert in the middle which I shifted down so the circle is not completely flat.
the detail on the reference are a honeycomb shape but the ones on your model are circles.{my mistake} looking closer they are actually circles :\ . On a different note, i think the shape of your cone seems a little thin, it might just be me, but it cant hurt to double check.
the design of the throne is great. It might be a camera angle illusion but I almost wonder if the last two pillars next to the throne are not too much, I feel it could have more space around it, like a doubled circle around the throne circle. these two pillars are kind of shrinking the throne visually?
The oouch should be much softer, right now it looks like a very hard piece of plastic or something. You have too many edge loops going into the circle parts which is creating those hard creases. The ref shows many more circle areas and much smaller as well
My only issue with the plugged-in thing would be if we're expected to turn in circles it could get a bit weird. And if we AREN'T expected to turn in circles, it could also get a bit weird (and break the immersion a bit), so I'm curious how they're going to resolve that. I'm definitely intrigued!
Great work. The textures on the stone work are great. Very realistic. The roof is such an important feature and I think the concept nails it. Try making the circles in the glass larger and maybe the metal used to create the art thinner. Uploaded with ImageShack.us It technically makes no sense for the metal circles to not…
