I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction or maybe just tell me how to go about putting the cloth modifier to work. I use 3ds Max 2008. I'm going to have a longish thing of cloth hang down off a robot I've been modeling, and I want it to be able to react to the legs hitting it when I go to pose it. I know…
Hi there I already learned Maya in for certain weeks. Theres still lots of things to learn (this is my first post in polycount). As I'm currently using Maya LT, I managed to understand few things about Maya LT, and theres a lot to learn still. I searched over the options but I couldnt find which one to be used as glow…
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=693389013 First time giving one of these a go and jumping in quite late but lets give it a shot. Originally I was going to go for an 80's Robot/Machine style using The terminator and Short Circuit as a Reference point but with the current time left I've decided to pull…
Hello, I am a student studying Games Development, and I'm looking for feedback on a model I've made. I have recreated a robot called Heavy Lobster, from the game Kirby Super Star. I thought it would be a challenge to create a model using just a sprite as reference. The model has 8748 faces, and took me roughly 4 days to…

WANDERING EARTH - AI Robot --- The Space Station needed a camera following everybody around and eventually be the main antagonist of the astronauts of the space station. A little bit like HAL2000, but mobile, so I did some passes at the design. The director wanted something that felt like a Chinese lantern, so this was the…
First off all, GRRRR BLENDER !!! GET OUT! On a serious side, really nice. I love your characters. Really simpel modelling but i can still see alot of personality in there. Especially the Wolverine and the Robot guy. Keep at it an you will get good, fast! However it would be nice to see you attempt any other style of model.…
True... but have you played Bionic Commado (the next gen one)... There is this amazinnngg level where there is a robot in the distance just fucking shit up, and its all 3d (obviously fairly low poly) but man... I'm sure if AE pulled something like that off with the spaceship it would look great... And not to mention, would…
Practice more with the intuos to get your coordination up, it shouldn't be that terrible. Go slow and use lazymouse if you have to. Its sounding like you either have a busted tablet that is wonking out on you, or you're being too much of a perfectionist for something that shouldn't be perfect anyway unless it were stitched…
@Hamakua The blocking in looks good, and even through is a robot with mostly rigid body, i feel like there should be more bends in the body. the legs look very straight, the shins and thighs could have a slight bend and add to the silhouette of the piece. Thanks you @Alemja for pointing out the pinched areas and larger…
