Okay! First I want to compliment you again on how good it looks! I wouldn't be writing a critique this if your work wasn't this nice, and I'm looking forward your to next pieces. I've got pretty much only anatomy pointers. I tried to color-code so they're easier to read but the text colors are changing once posted, haha.…
Yeah if you save the project under file/save as, you can easily end up with files that are too large to open. I made a start canvas with all the settings I need then and saved that into the project folder in ZBrush. Start up the canvas (with a simple primitive) load my tool into that document and keep working. I dont save…
Congrats on finishing. Doesnt look like Reynolds tho. I'm no expert at likenesses but one way to get a better result is to use an app like zbrush and make it transparent. Get a film of the subject and place it under the sculpt app. Make the app semi transparent and then sculpt using many different angles as reference.
Hey all, This is a project I have been working on and off for a few months. This is before I have dove into post processing and colour grading but I wanted to ask for any feedback you guys would have. I am a 3D artist with a few years experience working in games under my belt but I am always trying to improve my scenes.…
I'm really impressed with this artstyle. The photo capture and treatment of textures is really good. Reminds me of the old Valve approach to things. He also released all of it under a permissive license: https://roadtovostok.itch.io/road-to-vostok-assets-vol1
This is an asset pack created for an introductory first year university assignment. Six assets were to be made under the following constraints: Five general assets using a single 512 diffuse, under 1k tris. One hero asset using a single 2048 diffuse, under 5k tris. They must all follow a similar art style to Fable 2.…
Hello, I'm a contributor to DccNiTghtmare (aka DNT) which is an in-development, open source role-playing computer game, heavily inspired by the Fallout series. I would like to request character portraits to be drawn for this game and licensed under a free license (see below). You will be given credit and will effectively…
Yeah s6 hit the nail on the head. An example I always like to use when this comes up is: Go look under your fridge. Its really dark under there, yeah? Now shine a flashlight under it, it lights up, right? If you bake medium-large scale AO into your diffuse, what you're essentially doing is flagging the area under the…
Another one that I use that I didn't see posted here and this works if you're not using vertex coloring for any lighting and aren't wanting to render the model black silhouette but only see the black silhouette in the viewports easily you can select all the vertices of your mesh and change the vertex colors to black under…
