Thanks for this! The test description said that this was mostly an armor study and to not leave areas with skin empty for the sake of awkwardness. So I've been spending most of my time focusing on the armor bits. BUT with that being said this is still a good chance to learn and improve so I won't just ignore the face…
Hello again! Im currently about to head into my last year at AI- San Diego for game art. I have been getting together some ideas of different themes and projects to work on outside of schoolwork for my personal "i'd like an internship plz" portfolio. This is the first of what i had in mind. Its an armor set for some…
Hey guys, These two models are quite unfinished (just started the female model this afternoon). The one on the left is obviously the female armor, the right obviously -- male. Their tails are hiding in the rear but yes they're simian-based characters. Just like to know what you guys think; keep in mind I still have ~1700…
I actually think you have a good potential Can't quite tell if you used photos in this (shoe, neck armor?) but it looks very visually convincing one thing I havent noticed said here about the model is his wasit.. seem real narrow to me. So, to focus on the texture and not the model - good job so far. I'd kill the stars…

I'd like to see a Beetle trying to take out a 2.5 tons Charger :D I like the pipes the way they are, looks like made from scratch, will it be better with a second pair of pipes in symetry on the other side ?…
if you are modeling Sanguinius (from the looks of it), then you might want to do some more research on the character, and the type of armour he wore. if i remember rightly, it is now worn by another of the blood angels chapter, Commander Dante: Sanguinius was a primarch and should be pretty big in build, almost as big as…
I think more than the sculpt, which seems pretty competent for an early attempt (though I'm not sure this would be an easy one to retop for games), the character design is the issue here. The armour doesn't really have a cohesive look in terms of culture and technology, and also doesn't really make sense in how it stays on…
Sophax, you bring up an excellent point; real armour is just as fantastical as anything we're making today in 2014. The only difference is that they knew exactly how armour worked, through centuries of wars, and that they had different cultures, religions, and other aspects of life that shaped the definition of 'really…
