Measured reflectance is what some charts will base their numbers on. There was a nice guide Unity published awhile back about what sRGB value to use for the darkest black, and their number was around 30/255. I find the HSL range value isn't understandable compared to Photoshop. I work in Substance in parallel from Photoshop and I have to make a big mental gymnastics to report or match the values. (0/100%, -180/180° to Photoshop, 0/255, -0.5/0.5 to Substance) -

Curvature map shows grey as flat, darker as the angle approaches 180 degrees concave, and lighter as the angle approaches 180 degrees convex. So crevices and such are darker, while edges and such are lighter. It doesn't work so well with floating or unconnected geo, so AO would be substituted there. -

@Zack Maxwell Yeah, every IQ test I've done online gave me a score of around 125. I'm not dumb, but 125 is pretty above average, considering 50% of the population is <100. All my friend's got scores above 120. Online IQ tests are ineffective. -
Re: stupid things you HAVE to do at work
I wouldn't say this is stupid, just annoying. But, having to wait 1.5 minutes for Maya to launch/be ready to use. Then part of that time, after loading, it has an error, crashes, and I have to wait another 1.5 again. So I usually waste at least 10-15 min. a day just loading Maya. -

I used a Nikon D5300 with ISO-125, shutter speed 1/60 sec. and focal length of 52 mm. I think the trick is to get enough light to keep the shutter speed low so you get sharp pictures in even lighting. And I wouldn't use an ISO above 125.
