Thanks Pangahas, I'll work on adding some more color on the wood and see what I can do to fix the bricks. I might try and make them look sharper overall and have some seem to stick out a little bit from the wall. I think because I used the warp tool in photoshop, it's making them look more plastic-y. Time to work :D ! -

yep, that fly through was tasty. Good choice of music too. For some reason, I kept expecting to see pagoda's, and lot's of Japanese paper-y stuff all over the place. I prefer making twice greater (across X and Y) texture and then scale it down using advanced scaling solution. Benvista Photozoom Pro gives simply fantastic final quality of scaled texture! I could never get such sharp and detailed output using photoshop or any other resizer plugin. So forget about painting 1:1 textures -… -

The Ben Cloward HLSL DVD's are great - just have to remember to keep in the back of your head the Y up vs Z up coordinate system differences between Maya and Max. For Maya also - you can read the entire text of 'The Cg Tutorial' book by Nvidia on their developer website - its a great intro and covers the basics fairly well… -

It's actually simpler than that, as I understood it. It's a linear vertical progression of enemies, so it sounds almost tower defense-y. Since you've got a fixed curvature, you already have a good idea of where LoS ends (approximation, obviously), in which case you can quite easily have any targeting methods ignore… -

Yes, look in the Channel box with the PolyAutoProj node selected in the object's history (or click the Options box next to Automatic Mapping before applying it, and set the settings in there). Set "Layout Mode" to Overlap and "Scale Mode" to None, then you can adjust the size of the mapping projection by changing the Scale… -
