I've been using the Map|Zone PS filter for a while too. It's pretty slick, though limited since you can't make your own. Thanks for the link Eric! That app looks really good. I'm kinda wondering the same thing Richard is though. Is being able to paint textures from scratch really a valued skill? I mean, can't it all be…
Pretty much what Eric said (for gif) a decent program which doesn't automatically compress the colors during export is important. Also, the less you spend on 'obsolete' information the better, I've seen many people use a gradient background (or cloudy) and get issues overall the place, just focus on the piece in question.…
Thanks Eric, the issue is I dreadfully remember almost two weeks spent recording and editing all those videos, and about a month putting together the full documentation for the whole IllusionCatalyst package. It is what have kept me from writing down the new docs and record new videos, but I feel like they really are…
The original reference was titled "athletic male" and the chest and shoulders themselves were much larger. I loaded up the new reference and I'm finding the differences are more drastic than I thought. I am, however, modeling for a bit more slender character, so the new reference is probably better. Thanks Eric and Vig...…
You'll probably have to make one. The second link goes to the Shader API which has sample shaders and Alpha components you can add. Shader editing can seem daunting at first (it was for me) but it's really pretty easy once you dive in. And it's really cool, opens up a ton of possibilities!…

Please update your records. Thanks for your…
Hey I looked into our Wiki regarding this (btw @Eric Chadwick I think it's not ideal to mix it into the Rigging topic as it deserves it's own spot imo) But I'm wondering if there is any new or updated tips and tricks (also focused towards blender a bit) how this can be done in the most efficient and practical way. For now…
I'm trying to setup a material to use the alpha map of the texture instead of vertex blending in the same way pampers and Eric Chadwick do in this thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100011]/ This is my material so far and I've been unable to correctly add the mask. I looked at the setup Chadwick had…
A great looking project gives insight on one of it's more unique features. Independant game developer Black Forest Games recently started a campaign on Kickstarter for their newest undertaking, Project Giana. Last week they released the first part of their developer diary, "Morphing the World in Project Giana", by…
Hi there! Sorry for lack of support. Updates to Maya and my website may have broke some things. I have an updated page here for the tool: https://eric-kimberly.com/projects/easy-trim/ The code was written to support up to 2019, but I imagine it should work on 2020. There might be some trouble with the install script on…
