Hmm, I found a couple, searching for "udk material variation" Chris Albeluhn - UT3 - Adding variation to a repeating texture pattern Chris Albeluhn - UT3 - Adding Brick Variation Chris Albeluhn - UDK - Mesh Position Offset the Materials Texture I recall another one about a wood fence material, but I can't seem to find it.
"Commercial success is more dependent on marketing and luck." Partly dude, that luck element can be made less important from understanding the market. We had a pretty damn good run making hits when i was at half brick. Not sure how much that was luck Fruitninja>Monsterdash>JetpackJoyride. The biggest decider by far was…
Been a while since I updated this, so though I better post something! done quite a bit more since the last post, still needs a lot of work though, there's still a couple of gaps to fill in and desperately need some variation on the brick texture. Still got a few place hold textures that need to be changed as well.
Thanks! This is actually Unreal Engine.I had lot's of issues with the lighting, connecting modualr pieces where it's flat was a really bad design mistake.I made. The brick wall on the last image is actually a one sided quad with a tesselated material. Light calculation doesn't like this kind of wild and stupid idea Thank…
i would add some divisions to the surface, and also use a height map to add more variation to the vertex blending as well. is this for UDK? if so i could post a shader network for a good vertex blend that uses 2 channels one for the blend 1 for falloff, and uses a heightmap to blend dirt and moss into the cracks in the…
Finishing up this tower: high res high res high res high res Interior still needs work. The tiling of the brick texture is a bit too obvious, but it will be covered by vines ingame and maybe some vertex painting. Using 4 texture maps and about 10k triangles atm. Most of the textures will be scaled down later on though.
Yes, targas are good. They are a lossless format. For the wall, you'll a tiling brick texture that can be used all over the place, and the symbol as a sepperate decal texture that you stamp on. If you are dead set on having this as a unique texture, you are still wasting a full half of the texture, so you could make it a…
Hey Stoki! Nice to see another Polak on here! Welcome! your textures are loking pretty good so far, though with the newest brick one, I can't really tell as it's very dark. I nothings that with your wooden bench as well. For the bench you have very bright highlights, and very dark darks but no values in between.
Hello, thanks for your comments, actually I have work a little more on the atmosphere. And i have also add more resolution on the corner to do like the photo post by S2Engine. Today i will try to improve the metal objects like Stupa and hind and add a few individual bricks. Thanks for your help. Good day at all. WIP
I dont have much, but I can show somehting anyway: more buildings and another sculpt of stone brick wall. This time it will be darker than previous wall, just to make variation. And All of that is documented on videos, that Im uploading recently to Youtube. [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-etjwkfCQ04[/ame] And here…
