Those scars look great from a closer view, and it looks like your hair cards are really coming out nicely. Big fan of the clothing patterns on the sleeves and trim as well. Can't wait to see how she looks with the finished hair cards and added gem refractions!
Just a tip, but a good way to get that layered look in zb is to use the trim smooth border brush and put it on spray. Then just pic a flat surface and start brushing all over while alternating your zsub and zadd. not the best example, but i hope ya get the idea.
looks like the border is a strip - you can see a little distortion on the curves. Perhaps it uses a mask and draws it on top of the tiling body texture. I've seen water done kind of similar - tiling water texture and the engine detects the shoreline and puts a trim strip along the border.
I think you might be able to get away with not having an About section at all. The description sounds more like part of a cover letter than an "about you." Other than that it looks good. Nice to see you trimmed your content down to your best work.
I love what you have so far. Spend a little more time in zbrush, these rocks is going to look awesome. Right now, there rock look more like clay. I suggest you use trim dynamic brush more on the edges. I think that will help.
I think it varies a lot with the subject matter personally. Finding a hi-res photograph of some beautiful baroque trim is only going to get worse if I try to change it myself, so I'll just stretch to a rectangle, crop and go. Of course, those situations are sadly rare...
i agree with gauss. trim things down a bit, and if you really dont want to get rid of your older stuff then atleast create an archive section or something similar to your wip folder where you just dump that stuff in nice update to the page grafics tho.
Don't have any problems with the eyes, but her mouth looks strange. In the manga she had these thick lips, somehow she doesn't look right without them. The one thing that really makes my blood boil is the fact that this looks like a sanitized, child friendly Disney-version of Alita which is absolutely disgusting. The manga…
Rebbacus said she didn't like it, and she suggested separate smoothing groups for the edges of the ribbon and the brim. She also suggested brush strokes, which I wasn't sure how to do with the hat being made out of fabric, so I tried adding noise to the AO layer. She made it very clear that she didn't like the hat the way…
I've been trying to model this by beveling the edges but I keep getting some N-gons and that's f'up. I figured a way to add the details on the side part I'm thinking of using trim sheets as my normals, but my main problem is the scope part that is connected to the main body I don't know how to do it with a clean topo.…
