I love seeing you guys compare these tools via gifs. There should be a thread about useful tips for 3d applications using only .gifs so I can save them to my tipz n trix folder
If you really want this guy to shine, I would certainly focus on getting all that fantastic wrinkle/scar detail from the concept into your model ;) Ive had this guy in a potential projects folder for a while just because of that face!
Yup the folder itself. Cant seem to figure it out myself so looks like ill just have to manage it. Encountered a different issue with ddo. Ill make a new thread for that one, this one can just be left unnanswered
I just copied 8BF files from my CS5 folder and all the filters work fine. You gotta put them in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Filters
@Eric Chadwick - Yep, exactly that. It's incredibly painful to watch someone try to get their portfolio to load, since it most likely won't at GDC. Obviously, in general, put it online. But for GDC specifically it's best to just have a local folder of images.
Check if Gamma correction is turned on. If it's off, then try resetting your Max settings by exiting Max and renaming this folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2012 - 64bit If that doesn't work exit Max, and rename it back.
I love making customization options for my character concepts. They become like cut-out dolls. It's very important to have good folder/layer hierarchy in the PSD when doing this. Becomes quite complex otherwise. Great fun!
are you opening it in 4R7 64 bits version? if not, try that since it handles larger ztools than the regular 32 bits one. else it seems like it would be about time to dig through the Quicksave folder in search of something salvageable.
Oh sorry, should have mentioned that the force uninstall is only available in the PRO version ,my bad. try to uninstall the sute, delete all the runtime-folders in the appdata/roaming/quixel directory, reinstall the suite and see if that does the trick!
I have a dropbox folder that I organize to my needs. I've set it up in a way that helps me navigate it quickly in terms of the items I usually try to find when I am working. Is that what you mean?
