Hello everyone! I'm searching a way to have a material in Unity with normal map, diffuse, metalness and roughness map. I couldn't find it in the standards and anything really explaining it on the net, so maybe it could be bought or made in some way? Is it possible to have/make something like that in Unity? If yes is it too…
ZacD - does n't stop me trying other new software and obviously if it gets to the point where it's affecting that or even if Win 10 turns out to be the best thing since sliced bread, then I will upgrade. Until then I can't see the point unless I need to work 'holographically' any time soon:/
@divi - Thanks! Ouch, you're right, I really should post those images as progressive - page load times are getting nuts. @verybad - Good eye! :) These tracks have actually been abandoned for about 40 years though. I purposefully chose a source for my textures that was similarly abandoned and out of use.
Oh man, I came here looking for an answer, but I see there's already a thread about it. I don't even know how I'm activating it, but it's driving me nuts, it's got something to do with rotating the canvas. Happens every time I do that. Anyone have any idea how to disable that thing?
Reference Gathering At this point i gathered some reference from all over the net i would suggest going to fashion websites like (http://www.thesartorialist.com/) to find some good HD reference for the clothes and for some other items such as armor, military, and sports gear just a simple google search should be enough.
In an effert to get better at modeling, I've started doing speed models of small objects with some complicated geometry to build up my skills as well as a library of objects. Today was a nut a bolt and the goal was less then one hour, pretty happy with the results. Tomorrow I'm going to a cog or gear with some crazy shape…
I agree with amatobahn, Why not make something new? if you have to do the whole thing over again you might lose interest, something new might add more opportunity's to learn more new struff. unless you have your heart set on it of course ;) . then by all me go nuts!
@tierzilla: Thanks I build them up with standard/orbs cracks/clay buildup, smooth where appropriate and hpolish some planes in. @JedTheKrampus: youre right, ive adjusted it. @JohnnyRaptor: great boot refs! Belts n damage pass to go, that breastplate is driving me nuts, ive adjusted it 1000 times.
okay so here is my main refrence images. now I'm gonna start working on some thumbnails for the composition to see i can come up with :) and here is the refrence im going to use for my backround: http://www.surrenderat20.net/2014/06/617-pbe-update-2-summoners-rift-update.html
I tried just about every thing you can imagine here hahahahaha. I'm going nuts trying to figure this thing out. It looks like it chould be working to me. The object itself isn't receiving light properly either, and the animation is a mess unless I make it 1 second long. arrrr.
