Thanks MrOneTwo. I do understand the imortance of reference, i am a art student. I guess in my excitement on learning the program and playing around with it i did lose track of that importance though.
ugh..I always tell myself I need to quit..even though I'm a student Its hard for me to work without smokes and buying a pack here in canada..well its expensive..
The question I have is how will this affect the job,at key for artists, I have a impression that smaller could also hurt potential new entries to the industry. It's not like the schools will stop churning out students.
yea......the term game design is so vague when students refer to it......do you mean: game artist level designer game designer (probably not something you would go into entry level)
Any good free/student retopoing software, or should I do it by hand in max? Also, How Do I approach AO? is there some way or reason to get it from the High poly model?
Opinions on this topic would be much appreciated, since I'm pretty much in the same situation as Uly, where the "bang-for-your-buck" factor is really what it comes down to. And yes, I'm a poor student
Fusion is quite a bit more than Shake... like, 10 times more. http://www.eyeonline.com/Web/EyeonWeb/Buying/PriceList.aspx Their educational prices are also pretty funny. $1495 for a student version? Really?
I'm an almost-two-year uni student, and looking to put this into my portfolio for internships in year 3. What's your thoughts? Still WIP, Plan on having it fully functioning in game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWSgaXOtne8&feature=youtu.beThanks, Dave
Hi All! I apparently should have posted here instead of the General Forum. Let me know what you think! No lights added yet, still a WIP. I'm still a student at the Art Institute of LA and trying to work on my portfolio.
Hello, I'm a student at Digital Arts and Entertainment, I'm creating this SB to (hopefully) be able to see some improvement. A first try on sculpting and normal map baking, gonna do some more test to get a better knowledge on baking in max.
