Maya Scale tool off pivot
OK everyone I have an easy one for you (hopefully). Suddenly, when choosing the scale tool in Maya the thing is off the X and Y axis for some reason, causing any scaling I do to slowly bend and warp. I'm not sure how it became this way. Modify > Center Pivot doesn't fix the problem. Anyone? -
Unknown light coming from orthographic/isometric camera
Hello all, I have a test scene to try out an isometric camera, and there seems to be an unknown light source coming from the camera. I tried to adjust the Offset settings, if I go high enough on the Y value the light goes away, but then the camera is off-center. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -

The 3d was a bit of a drag, especially since I was sitting off to the side. = headache. Their volumetric fog and smoke was awesome though. Alice looked fucking hot in that armor. I enjoyed the movie, but I went in with low expectations; My only dislike was that it wasn't 'wonder-y' enough, too much Lord of the Rings. -

It's not really DARK green though, I can clearly tell apart the background and the darker parts even when darkening my monitor quite a bit, besides the background isn't even black (there's a vignette effect on the borders but that's it). Here's with the BG lightened up a bit just in case. better worse y/n? -

Rly? I wouldnt know, I got linked to that picture this morning, and since it was kinda related to the article, I decided to post it, ahah. And yeah, I played doom1 and 2 not too long ago, there's modifications that lets you use the mouse in X and Y axis, which makes it really awesome to play. -

Your normal map might have it's green channel flipped the wrong way, either on export or when importing to UDK(on import make sure the 'flip normal map green channel' is unchecked). When you render that green is set to down or Y-. ...or as jellyfish said, your smoothing groups are still wrong. -

I dig the design. feels artillery-y my only beef is the barrel (and it's pretty minor) but the tip looks rather phallic, and it's also ribbed for her pleasure. I would elongate the flash hider, cut some holes in it, lose the ribbing in the middle, and taper the whole barrel down toward the tip slightly. -

I really like the scales, grim.. I think you've added them too early. That head is much too playdough-y and the musculature around the body looks like you didnt go passed the 3rd subdiv before smoothing it. Get a bit of pinching in there and vary the edge intensity. It will reward you. -

if your using the built in parallax node then you need to edit it so y is up i think it is set to z is up. Then you might need to use some of the space conversion nodes. Also ive noticed you have to use incredibly small settings on amount to get it to look semi normal. -
