I've only come across a handful of games which didn't offer at least basic widescreen support, and almost all of those were small indie titles. The most disappointing is Overwatch, with its locked max FoV, it means 21:9 players get the top/bottom docked off. :( 16:9 vs 21:9
Really useful for single monitor setups. I found a bug though When you tap the window to the top of the screen, Windows likes to full screen the program. I use this feature for my browser and other things when managing my screen space. Doing this locks the application in place and you can't un-dock it, lol.
First off, i am in no shape or form an experienced artist, I'm just someone that is (like you) trying to get better at this and maybe get a job in the industry. But, over the years i noticed some things that i think could help you in your endeavor. Let's break down the disclaimer that you started with: 1. You state that…

It probably should imo as doing what you want by atlasing several objects to one sheet does have optimisation uses. But the good news is that there are some solutions https://gumroad.com/l/TextureSetCombiner There are times where you…
@Jack M. Sorry for the confusion. SceneDepth was just an example of where you could use the gradient created from it to map UVs. You're complete right, what I did was use distance field gradient to warp the UVs to pan. I came up with it because of a custom fog shader I did, trying to resemble what they did in Firewatch.…
Hello :) Sorry for double posting :/ So I did a very rough blockout, and will answer questions above. - Location: near a mountain - Who built it: dwarves - ressource: crystals - what did they found -> some ancient thug necro crypt -> they build some runes on the ground to sceal it. - What haunts it now -> ghosts / spirits…
Your models and textures look very fitting! (can we see some texture sheets?) But the composition is cramped and visually confusing, so it is hard to tell the different meshes apart from each other. I would make the island a bit bigger, to make room for things. The water is falling diagonally, when it should be following…
