this depends for what this is but there are vertex blend shaders for unity and unreal and you can vertexpaint in unity and unreal, theres a lot of tutorials for this on youtube but i would increase the polycount for the pillar for vertexpaint, or you could blend the two materials with vertexpaint & a black &white mask,… -

Exactly this. Just because an engine could handle the polycount/texture resolution you have doesn't mean it's ok with a bunch of redundant polys/pixels. You could drop the polycount and texture sizes a ton and still have a similar-quality asset. Pretty curious as to how your texture is split up atm, and how it'd look with… -

hmm yeah you seriously need to study basic anatomy, bone structure , because with and without meshmooth the model looks pretty bad , try to add shape with the little polycount you have.
