Thanks for the tips. Well They arent really intended for games right now. The last one is a game practice. The others were early models of mine but IM going to reduce the poly count for game compatability.
I think trying to match a 2D concept exactly is futile (in most cases? Unless it's a technical drawing/ blueprint). Being a 2D image, the concept artist could have just distorted the perspective or did some freestyle adjustments to make it more expressive. I would focus on the intend behind the concept instead. In this…
No pun intended HURR DURR any ways figured i would throw this up now Its still in very early concept stage don't even know where the bags and/or chest is going. Just easier for me to concept in zbrush haha Dont worry it will be done in the Dota art style.

Hey - I intend to unwrap my lowpoly head this way - but I'm not sure if it will create a normalmap seam along the edge? Can I just flip the mesh and uvs to one side, attach and bake? Or do I need to bake first and then flip mesh and uvs and attach? Thx for any input :)
ola!!! fritz presents his 1,520 question of the day!!!! can someone tell me why the viewport is displaying my object w/normal test so dark? and the render comes out normal(no pun intended? this is just a texture test...so no jokes please. haha. cheers
it's taken a while, but finally i've entered into the new and exciting world of the dual monitor undecided though, whether to run it as i originally intended - a toolbar/outlook dumping ground - or run max as "always on" on the TFT and photoshop and other bitmap stuff on the CRT. what's everyone else doing with theirs?
You should only ever be in move/rotate/scale mode when you intend to perform one of those actions, the rest of the time you should be in Select mode ("Q" hotkey) to avoid accidentally transforming your selection.
Is that neck looking a bit nope.avi to anyone else? I don't know if it's a bit too long but it looks a bit like it to me Also is the back half of his pants missing? Is that intended, are the faces flipped or is it just not finished entirely?
I've tried one of the other methods, This time using Blender for everything. Luckily it looks pretty good no artifacts this time. Since the model is really simple. I intend to add a glow map to the rings and a little more detail to it.
