This scene is a still capture from my real time scene in Unreal Engine 3. please check out liewwaiming.blogspot.sg for the run time video capture of the scene. or watch here on youtube http://youtu.be/8mE8lp3qRQ8 it is a pity even at HD1080, the caustic on the submarine body turns out badly :( The concept is that N.O.A is…
Project Kanestown This was a scene I did inspired by the Fable video game series. It was a final project in which I started building just the pub in the very middle of the scene and then built the scene around it. Comments and critiques are much appreciated. This was the pub I modeled first that is the center of the whole…
Hi so i'm working on a scene at the moment (my first entire scene) and i'm using marmoset to quality check my models but i can't really build the scene in marmoset x) So i was wondering what options there were for me to set up my scene? Because it seems there aren't any that are free and i don't really want to shell out…
When Max starts to randomly act crazy just save your scene and restart the program. The longer you run Max non-stop in a single session/scene the more garbage it collects. Restarting can flush the scene(sometimes you might even have to merge all objects to a fresh scene, but this is rare)
taking so long also made a second outfit from the club scene that I need to render, I think I'll do it in Maya with proper skin color and xgen hair at some point
Blockout & Ceiling Tiles! Going for some ceiling tiles in the scene. Took heavy inspiration from two references. One being "The Golden staircase" in Venice where I like the different sized tiles and how they were placed so its not a generic 2x2 tile running side by side across the length of the ceiling . Second inspiration…
Thank for all the pointers. 1.I will most importantly work on the wet look of the ground which would help with the reflections. gave me an idea instead of vertex painting puddles, i will try to use wet and dry asphalt to achieve that look. and then use vertex painting to blend them. 2. Lights, yes will work on blueprints…
The main reason you're probably getting black is because of how reflections work in UE4. If you're using a reflection capture actor at default settings (no hdri) then it will look for other things within the scene to reflect. If your albedo is dark and you have nothing else in the scene to reflect against it it can come…
If you are following a concept, first step is to try to split up the elements in the scene into modular pieces, often done with a paintover with colors. Then block out the scene, since you might discover some issues that requires you to change the scene, some scales might not work out and your modular pieces might change…
The image sizes are small, and it's not possible to open them at a large size in a separate window. The zoom when you mouseover images is kinda annoying, and might slow down loading of the site. Include more breakdowns of the scenes; the overall impression is pretty good, but I can't see the quality of individual assets.…
