paint a texture layer in mudbox... right click onto the paint layer --> mask from selected hit flood in the sculpt brush tab... or sculpt it by hand... [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByhW_vUPouM"]mudbox freeze from paint layer - YouTube[/ame]
Can you give me some examples of what you mean by seams? Also, why would you need to paint over the individual channels? Updating DynaMask for one layer will update it for all other layers associated with that layer in other channels.
For the saber, just do an inner/outer layer. inner layer is a red tinted white outer layer red with flipped normals. you'll lose the gradient but it should read well from a distance also the handle doesn't appear as cubed in the refs you posted
Hello guys, this is the thread for my Desert Eagle | Extinction, a skin in the 70-80 sci-fi contest. My idea is a neon-polygrid-dinosaur (a t-rex) shooting laser beams out of its eyes. Enjoy!
Looking at last nights mess of hair with a fresh set of eyes and restructuring it from the base layer up so it has a bit more order to it. Not sure if I should change the color of that top layer to be a bit darker to the base layer or find a way to transition it better
This is a little work I did start quite a while ago and always worked step for step when I had the time, right now Im sitting on texturing detail like damage from laser and the like ^^
