I agree from what has been said, the screen shots look great, but are a little hard on the eyes right now. Off topic- Nice to see another from the Toon teaandcigarettes, gerodie?
Great stuff Penrod. Maybe you could exaggerate one of the eye positons to help sell the dizziness more. I keep thinking of old Looney Toon cartoons and how they would exaggerate features. :)
Welcome! I would love to see the face of the first toon..although i'll go check out your portfolio when i'm done with my hello here. Love the beer on the Segway...if it is a beer...^^
Haven't been happy with my results in UT3Ed so I'm messing around in 3dsmax trying to get it how I want it to look; I may play around with some toon shaders or something.
I was wondering if any of you guys had any experience with toon shaders? Do you think Maya Mental Ray with silhouette contour would be good enough? I'm aiming for a style like this

Looks great to me man! I'd say the style you have going on is more Diablo III (Grimdark) than WoW (Toon fantasy), which is perfect in my books! Love that shoulder piece.
Hi guys! Im working on this character, based on the awesome concept art of the Artist:. Olivier Désirée This is my actual process, i think is the moment of do the retopology but all feedback to improve the sculpt is welcome: hope you like it guys!!
Hey Synster, it is coming along. This is a rather large project but keep chipping away at it piece by piece! I look forward to seeing more of your texture work, and I'm interested to see how you will achieve the cartoon effect if you plan to mimic the show art style. I would imagine the cell shading, cartoon style would…
That is strange indeed. I am after exactly what you have. These are my render settings, cannot remember I ever touched those but it has been some years I used Max. I can work around it using MR, sadly MR does not support toon shading, at least it does not render my current setup with the toon shader. So for each image I…
