The Tuyul Brotherhood - 4 Folklore Creeps from 1 Base Mesh Hey everyone, Wanted to share a character pack I recently put together. I’ve been digging deep into Indonesian folklore and decided to create a set of "small spirits" (creepy child-like entities) that are pretty famous around here. * The Tuyul (The Classic…
Thanks a lot for your suggestions and time RickD. I plan on reworking the low poly later today. The object is about 3inches in width, and 5-7inches deep, with the scene in cm. I'll adjust my lowpoly model to more closely match the high poly and work on smoothing the edges. Do you have any more suggestions for the uvmap of…
Thanks for the input guys. Im having a bit of trouble with the pinching on the console. I have two edges running along to keep the definition on the top of the console when turbosmoothed, but these edges create the pinching on the side. Im not sure how to arrange the topology to fix it. Any tips?
With AF(which I would recommend) your choises are slim, you can get the Nikon 60mm 2.8(which is $350-550) or the Tamron 90mm 2.8(which is $300-400). I would probably recommend the Tamron here as its 90mm, and 90mm is a good focal range to have in general. It could double as a portrait lens in a pinch, which is good…
lookin good. curious though, how are you able to pull off this shape with no pinching. usually when i cut into a cylinder like that ill always get pinching around the poles.
I imported turbosmoothed model from 3ds Max, but because of support edges there are lots of pinching. When I try to sculpt, details in these pinched areas look like «slivers» or something like that. How do I fix that?
The Sub-D rebuild of the utility ship is almost done for some of the pieces that needed it. The cockpit has some pinching that needs to be aleviated and then moving on to any last minute detailing, before finishing up with the lowpoly process.
I just threw up a little in my mouth. Gotta love pinch tool. Get's hardly any credit. And if you didn't use the pinch tool, I'm throwing myself at the ground.
Maybe - Im not sure that is really pinching tbf, could just be where it goes up and around. The other areas however, its not so smooth as it goes over the wheels, i dont know if its the angle or what. There is definately some sort of pinching below the windscreen. thats it really.
Borderedges are hard in a catmull clark subD. And corner verticies create those pinches. If you connect those "flying verticies" you dont have the pinching issue. And i assume there are inverted faces on the bottom.
