We will be flying September 2nd and stay till the 6th. So if any of you guys want to…
Maybe someone can formulate a main News entry out of this, didn't see a Thread for this yet. As several major Gaming Sites Report Adam Adamowicz, Bethesdas main Concept Artist for Fallout 3 passed away on 9th February. The guys of Awesome Robo have a longer part about him and his work.…

Chamfer and face weight? I don't understand that workflow, that would still 4x the geometry wouldn't it? Which is the reason we use normal maps? The 4th side is hidden by other objects in the scene so I UV'd it seperately and gave it less space. I know if it's not seen then why model it but I was also under the impression…
Blending multiple tiling textures based on a mask and vertex colors, having quite a few polies on the rock itself to account for macro details, dressing it with smaller (and medium sized) rocks and vegetation to break it up. http://www.pcgameshardware.de/screenshots/original/2013/06/cld-ascent-1.jpg Crysis 3 DLC might have…
Wood does not look like that, Each leg would be its own wood piece with its own wood grain and wth the arms. Right now you have a flat texture mapped across the entire uv space so its all going in same direction. The model itself is also one piece and needs to be separated, legs, arms and so on
Naw. Still trying to figure out how to rig this thing . . . Seriously, it might be an all nighter for me today. Like a good friend of mine did a quick dirty rig with a script he grabbed from Creative Crash, but I'm trying to figure out wth he did and how to adjust it so I don't get the legs moving the tunic, etc.

I've recently bought a book but found out its a bit outdated but maybe theres still some useful info in there. I am using maya so far for this scene.

However, You can buy it earlier and play the early-access builds from www.towerofguns.com (and get a steam key) for $9.50, saving a little more (that price will rise come…
They're useful in these applications as long as you can change the settings for your buttons per program. Which you should check if that's possible. I wouldn't recommend a pen tablet for Maya or 3ds Max though, it sounds great, but it's... really not. I sometimes even hate to use my tablet for Zbrush, especially when…
