Maybe someone can formulate a main News entry out of this, didn't see a Thread for this yet.
As several major Gaming Sites Report Adam Adamowicz, Bethesdas main Concept Artist for Fallout 3 passed away on 9th February.
The guys of Awesome Robo have a longer part about him and his work. http://www.awesome-robo.com/2012/02/farewell-adam-adamowicz-visual-mind.html
I didn't have time to know Adam very well. My interactions with him were always pleasant. I found him to be one of those rare genuine people. Always positive, witty, intelligent, and funny. He had a rare form of cancer that typically only affects children.
There's no doubt that Fallout and Skyrim would not have been the same without his amazing talent. Such a tremendous loss.
I got Fallout 3 CE just so that I can have the Art of Fallout 3, most of which are concept art by Adam Adamowicz. Such a great artist! Sad to see him go......
Terrible to hear of his passing, but at least amongst us, having Fallout 3 and Skyrim as your swan-song magnum opus... that's a hell of a way to sign off. He's left us with magnificent and soul-changing experiences and worlds to explore.
I hope to be able to accomplish a tenth of that before I'm old and gray.
We should remember to celebrate what he created before we become too consumed grieving his loss.
I know I already wrote a comment but I'd just like to add I think his work will continue to be a major source of inspiration for a lot of the artists here and should hopefully give people the drive to really up their game. Badass artist!

Take a look at his blog as well: http://www.adamart08.blogspot.com/
Quite an influential legacy.
I believe he had cancer but I am not sure.
This is a sad loss for our industry as well as his family. Adams concepts were amazing and like many others I was in awe by his stuff from Fallout 3.
I wish his family the best of luck as losing a loved one is never easy.
I read online that he passed due to cancer. What kind, I do not know.
RIP
