Thanks for all the lovely comments. They all really inspired me to finish this! You can now see it on the workshop http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=693779751&result=1 I wish everyone good luck
I feel like it works a bit better on MP9 and it could be hard to tell how it is exactly 70s/80s sci-fi themed, but I like the idea and execution a lot, MP9 already faved on workshop. :D
Hi Fred, There was a MasterClass from Gnomon on 'Efficient Cinematic Lighting' by Jeremy Vickery. He goes into depth regarding his workflow using both Mental Ray and Vray. Arguably the best Lighting workshop I've seen
okay here are all the layouts for the buzz saw. Took me a little longer due to the awesome diverge workshop. Also, thanks to all for taking a look at my thread I really appreciate any critiques given.
Have a look through this dota character guide if you didn't already, I think it can help you add some more color variation to your model :) http://media.steampowered.com/apps/dota2/workshop/Dota2CharacterArtGuide.pdf
I think you might consider to use Valve technique to pick colour to their dota 2 model. Here's the link: https://support.steampowered.com/kb/9334-YDXV-8590/dota-2-workshop-character-art-guide
Heres the final submission already uploaded to the workshop. An historical portrait of noble weaponry as a longsword and helmet replacement. A richly decorated set for high ranked warriors http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=323099795 Reference Images
Magicspook, I always imagined is as a fierce/evil set, which I identified with Mason. Here is my final submission. Thanks to everyone for the feedback. Mason Vanguard Kraken Set Workshop Page Polycount WIP Thread
@kreativbloc Thanks for the feedback, perhaps the roundness of his belly was lost when I comp'd the passes. Here's a couple of new renders with a crazy weapon I've been working a ton on lately for the June Gnomon Workshop challenge.
Managed to finish this on time. At least according to EST on google :dizzy: Hopefully... Here is a workshop link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=693725423 I must say that I even like how cracks on plastic shell ended up in workbench.
