lol poor dale! this technique really does breathe life into models, this head is only 308 polies with a 256x256 map (modelled from photos some years ago)
Man you're kind of a beast with these sketches. To be honest at first (year or two ago) I wasn't digging the black/white thing, but you've really grown into it and made me a fan. My favorites thus far are #376 & the first one in #383, love the motion.
Before it was only in the log — or so I'm told, I had not noticed it despite TDR being default. Nor do I get the new message everyone is having, so the detection of TDR I guess isn't 100% accurate. (R9 380 here).
Allthough it still breathes like Madagascar, it has a trailer that's more awesome then I thought, hihi, enjoy: http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/thewild/video.html?size=large&mLeft=-43&mTop=380
hey guys, this is my first normalmapped model. i wanted to go with something simple, as not to get overwhelmed by issues. there is still a lot to work on here. the model has 382 tris. and wireframe this is just a simple render from xNormal viewport, tweaked a bit in photoshop. nothing fancy. C&C appreciated. cheers.
Would have liked to have finished it tonight; oh well...still more to do tomorrow texture in this shot is 128x256, and about 3'ish hours of work 398 tri's
I can't trust but I bake it all! Here is screenshot from Marmoset. Totaly 38k poly. Only normals and simple albedo map. No reflective and microsurface maps now.
A quick concept made during lunch break: The thing in the middle is supposed to be an animal skull. I'm already at 348 polys, so I'll have rely heavily on normal maps!
There are some nice crates in here. Good job guys. This is actually my first crate and I really need to finish it. Still a lot of texturing to do. Stands at 382 tris.
