those are all sanwa parts in the box. I did lose one of my white sanwa buttons before i finished making the box so i had to replace it with a black happ button. So that's the 360 guide button now :P. I would totally do artwork on the box but i lake the tools to do so. I dont own any paint brushes or paint, or laquer. so…
The worn paint at the mid-line of the doors feels unrealistic. Cars just don't wear like that. As far as 'next-gen' is concerned, PC vehicles in PS4/Xbone games will be measured in the hundreds of thousands of polys. The last firm numbers I have are for Forza 3, which was from 3 years ago on the 360 : LOD0: 172753 polys…
I hate the bow, it's a non sense weapon... really, but if they like that... So much tech with the suit... and a bow? seriously? we are going to hunt deers? LOL I only expect a good PC version and not that port crap they sold us with that useless hi-res texture pack that didn't do anything. Also, like others said, the game…
I quite strongly disagree about that game potentially looking good if stripped down to just a diffuse-only texture style. Not saying that diffuse-only games look bad in general ; but here its a clear case of a successful scalable game production. The look is persistent across different platforms, only at the cost of…
watching paint dry brings more entertainment. Awards shows in general are stupid, VGA is a pain to watch. And why is red dead not on best 360 game and only ps3?? Who votes on this stuff and how in the hell do you decide best studio? No offense to all the guys/gals who work at the nominated places, I'm sure they're great…
I like what you're going for, with a linear progression through the scene. I think less shots and more cinematic scenes might play in your favour though. It's also a scene that would really benefit from a 360 render of the interior as well, I'm not sure how you'd do it and keep the quality high, but I'd love to look around…
Yeah pretty much this :) Also to add many older user base people are waiting 3.7 to make a final decision about the engine of choice. If it flops quite a bit of people will leave for UE4 or Unity. Aand I guess we pretty much summed it up. By the way I want to say this, I am completely fine with teenage people using ready…
Hah thats a clever render stage! i like the tape. :) I got one setup with a plain arced plane and reflection cards placed all around. I experimented with surface detailing, draped cloth etc but in the end it distracted from the main thing in the scene..the model so iv settled for a simple environment. Personally, i would…
loooooooong wait indeed, i set it up - went picked up some pizza for the family, watched some hockey, played some 360, watched a movie...yes im that productive :D (i turned down drinks tonight because im too broke to go out two nights in a row lol) but in the end i stopped it at pass 10 with zero errors and am now running…
this lighting/scanning stuff has been done in several titles in the PS3/360 era already. the problem with it in my opinion is simply that it requires all the bells and whistles to be turned on and finely tuned to look any good. in my experience these are the very same features and rendering accuracy that are being thrown…
