update, got the sword ingame, just working on some tweaks on the helmet and then i can get into detail texturing. FYI for anyone working on the broadsword, the root jnt has a scale of 2.54 that you will have to change to 1 before export to get the scale correct. I'm going to double check that solution with someone from…
Some times ago I suddenly noticed how really good my assets and materials looked back at the time when it was simply Zbrush sculpt +vertex paint + a few subtle Photoshop touches . A workflow I abandoned around 2008. Zbrush forces you to make art decisions , to evaluate your every touch carefully . Super inconvenient micro…

Alright, some model progress shots. Here's a basic sculpt I've worked out. I started by plane modeling in max to get a base mesh, but at this point I think it'd be better to retopo after I'm done just to get the important details in. Any help with paintovers or general tips would be appreciated. Thanks a lot guys.
Good work man, but At first I was kind of suspicious, becasue there was top notch stuff mixed in with mediocre and honesty sloppy drawings and I found the sloppy drawings before the good stuff. I would get rid of the older 2d stuff or find a way to seperate them so that veiwers wont get the wrong idea. good stuff though!
WHOA! Weird..I thought that my computer was being stupid not showing all the posts here..But THE THREADS GO FROM BOTTOM TO TOP!! WOW!!!..lol.. I am mostly here to work on Low Poly contests..I am really bad at modeling though..But i plan on getting better and hopefully getting a good career in game design....
Trying to make a castle ruins modular set and figuring out the best way to do this. I need to have nice cracks and things throughout some of the more damaged pieces. Not sure the best way to approach this. only one methods I can think of, but it has some downfalls. sculpt some main pieces with some light damage. make…
I'm wondering if people have any, info or experience of doing this. Is it a good idea? What about the settings for the render what should you have for reliability and accuracy to the real world? Like trying to get the highlights to appear right. Where do you have to place the camera and lights in relation to one another to…
I've had this set, but haven't done it in so long, now I can't remember where to set it in Z4. Some people have an issue with their ZBrush where they sometimes get jumped way far away from their model, and then have to zoom back in and get situated again. Happens pretty regularly. I remember there was some timing…
I’m starting a new personal project to model Chappie, the iconic robot from the movie Chappie. The goal of this project is to create a highly detailed, accurate 3D model while staying true to the character’s original design. For this stage, I’m gathering and organizing references to guide the modeling process. These…
