I'm pretty sure you don't even have to duplicate, there is a way to bring up the move along face (Z) option and just use it to do what you want. It's been a while since I used maya, but I'm fairly certain that's possible.
This is a little scene I made inspired by the Colonel´s Desk from the Base Z map from CoD: Cold War https://polycount.com/discussion/226611/finished-colonel-s-desk#latest https://www.artstation.com/edumartinez
We are looking for freelancer 3d clothes modeler Requirements: Must know marvelous designer, z brush or blender (any other 3d program) Please send email to anca_pagan@yahoo.com with portfolio , artstation link or any other pictures of work done
Found this on kickstarter what do you guys think? Affordable motion capture for games, i'm thinking this will be really useful for indies? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-N_e_TpAK8 Here's their kickstarter page https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1663270989/project-perception-neuron
also I guess you already have done this but hit the "delete all caches" button in decimation master before you pre process, that might help cos Z keeps all decimated files in a single folder
These are fantastic, I love the intricate pieces the border each panel. How much of each of these assets are created from kit-bashing assets you had already made from previous projects? Was there any Z-brush involved?
Floor looks great. I am workin on a very similar workflow right now. One question what was your technique for getting that angular rock texture on the faces of each stone? Assuming you did that detail in Z.
Could you show wires/textures? The z-sorting thing confused me. I thought it doesn't use alpha. Looking cool by the way, maybe it could use a bit more contrast/darker values in the shadowed areas.
Have you tried x and z axis as well? Whenever i use bend modifier i need to switch between the three of them to find the best one and even rotate it a little to get what i want.
The same situation here. Did you noticed that as soon as you hold down Shift key and press the Axis tripot the Orientation of the tripod is changed - the Z axis points in different direction than when the shift key is not pressed?
