I wonder if a handplane sort of app could take the two different normal maps and combine them together with the knowledge of what was intended to be the final low poly geometry.
Is this intended for a 1st or 3rd person game? As if 1p you really want to focus down some of the key FPV area's by rounding out edges and more sides on cylinders.
Not sure if its intended, but because of how the section with the 3 decorative tiles is, it will have 2 tiles in between on the borders so it would be more obvious where the texture repeats.
For that, create a 1D texture with your choice of gradients and index it with NdotL. Use that as your specular color. Not very realistic if you intend for this to be some type of diffraction or interference effect.
Something a little on the side to get myself back up to snuff with Quixel and sculpting. Might keep continuing with the textures, stiff feels bare bones to me (no pun intended!).
I don´t intend to make a replica of the real world model, but have a base to develop a good modeling exercise. I took the caliper model from this picture.
Clean and friendly, I like it. How high do you intend the camera to be? The rooftops look like they could do with a little detail, but that would depend on the camera height.
I second the recommendation to use DAZ as a reference. I often have the program open in a second monitor while I work. Actually that is what the software was originally intended for.
Just finish the adjustement design on the character I intend to do, maybe more change will come on the fly. So much people are getting onto it... good luck everyone
