Merge or group the high-poly stairs and dirt mesh, and use that as the high-poly reference when baking to a low-poly mesh. The how-part of the bake depends on what application you're using.
Yep. As long as the user name doesn't already exist, we can change your user name if you really need it. It's also possible to merge users if you have 2 accounts.
had to un-install pico as it has made maya pretty unstable, files not even using it crash maya on loading, when merged they have meshes missing, got rid of pico and they are back...
great job man the eye is my favourite part, and the mushed up toes, although I suggest defining the toes a little bit in texture so theyre not totally merged. Brill stuff
dunno. i have heard from lots of people that the files bloat due to excessive merging of objects n' stuff. i think there are lots of things autodesk could fix in max. haha.
IMO that's a bug. There's been issues with that sort of thing for several versions and I'm a little surprised it hasn't been addressed tbh. Convince me otherwise @Jerc 😛
Autodesk in now merging the two USD versions with the help from Pixar, Animal Logic, Luma and Bluesky. https://github.com/Autodesk/maya-usd/tree/refactoring_sandbox
