Hi there! I (and a few colleagues of mine) have a problem with unwrapping in 3DS Max (version 2010 and 2012). When I unfold-map of flatten-map, some clusters automatically get rotated so that they fit in the imaginary unwrapping square (even when I turn normalize off). Now I'd like to rotate these objects so that they are…
Im still having the disappearing act going on with my geo... I thought maybe it was a 2011 bug, but it does it just as bad in 2012. Someone suggested making sure that polygon transparency sorting was on, which I looked up how to do online and sounded like it would fix the issue, but no luck. The description of what it does…
CPU - i7 6700k RAM - 32GB DDR4 3000Mhz GPU - Vega 56 OS - Windows 10 LTSC 2019 I also don't have this issue on 3DS Max 2012 & 2019. It's just with 2013. Edit: Aha! That was the problem. Switched from Nitrous to Direct3D, and voila. Now the XView shows properly. Thanks man.

Some random screenshot mostly from 3ds Max showcasing some of the asset creation on Create. As a lead, I was responsible for making some of the props but mostly i did the layouts on these dioramas. Props were done by my team of super talented artists: Josh, Udell and Logan. It was very tricky and super interesting to make…
There might be some bug lurking in Max2017's opensubdiv stuff if it crashes for you regularly when working with the opensubdiv . Both TexTools and TurboTools work on 2016/2017. Also, I recommend Polyunwrapper plugin. I can't imagine life without it now.(it also has UV>SG function)
I remember when Apple came out with an iPad a few years back (perhaps the original?), and their marketing line was 'Who needs a stylus?'. Edit - lol: [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YY3MSaUqMg[/ame] Personally, I still have zero need for an oversized mobile phone that cannot make phone calls. I'd like to add that…
I just got Maya 2016 and I have this issue. Whenever I smooth my mesh using smooth mesh preview it looks like subdivision level 2 is applied. Now If I recall correctly in earlier version of Maya it was level 3 subdivsion by deafult. And now if you go here:…
