Gun details Another difficult week. I worked on some details of relief of the weapon and the low poly is already done. I am also finalizing another weapon, which I will post soon.

The red dot you have in your screenshot is probably the elbow joint which is why there is that weird offset issue. I would align your custom weapon with the weapon bone(which sits at the origin.
your count seems really high for a weapon, unless its going to be the first person view weapon. like the screws on the sight, the details on the barrel grip and clip could all be done with normals maps

I think part of it is because the weapons were so crappy back then. Not nearly as much fun as WWII weapons. Another might be the confusion that would occur from from playing a game where Germans are bad, yet not Nazis

So I'm making a weapon for the character Sven for the DOTA 2 workshop, and I can't figure out which direction to take in the design. I made the initial high poly for the weapon, but got some suggestions to tweak the top and the handle, so I redesigned it a bit.
