I installed SP 2018.3.3 for my new machine and this pops up: I checked the "step-by-step guide" you linked from that pop-up dialog, and I really don't want to go to and mess around with any sensitive registry stuff on my new PC. I didn't have this problem on my old PC with SP 2017. I'm wondering what kind of situations…
The only reason I post this is it was working fine before. I block out my level in UDK then convert to static mesh and export as obj. I don't understand why it stopped working. I get this error. No source data available for some objects. See the log for details. Any help would be great. Thank you.
Hey William, this looks good for the first serious concept piece. The first iteration has really good composition with the lines on the left leading to the focal point, and the strong contrast between the lit rock and the dark background behind. But in this update the lines are lost a bit, and the contrast has been lost on…
Really enjoyed this. Played it through to the end, including exploring the entire first island (got 5 of the 6 lighthouses lit, too, but couldn't figure out how to get to the top of the observatory :( ). Ninja race was hilarious, but man, what a tease for not giving me the rope-sliding ability :p Camera could use some…
Hey! Quick update on this guy. I finished his textures the other day, well, at least the first pass of it! Nothing particular to say about it,except maybe that symmetry was a bit hit or miss so I kinda had to do the hands separately. It wasnt very fun haha. I also came across a weak spot in my uvs, where the in between…
here we go, this is is all the same mesh from the left with different settings and levels of support applied. 1. being the base 2. with support geo/quad chamfers 3. unaltered creases 4. bit of support geo 5. fully supported lemme explain support loops can carry a lot of stuff such as the flat top in this case as it offsets…
imagine you are making a flat sheet of white plastic, but its covered in a layer of fine dust. would the dust affect the roughness or the metalic? firstly, its a pain in the ass so Im sure game designer people wouldnt mind me skipping it. but I was thinking that the dust would affect the surface's reflection of light a…
Loving this! Only crit would be to avoid pure black in your shadows, it's a bit harsh with such dark/high-contrast shading. Would be nice to make a bit of back-splash, a bit softer blacks.
For your first level ever its pretty cool bud. The textures you've made fit the western scene I think where it fails to deliver is the composition / overall look. Heres a couple of things that springs to mind. The level lighting seems neither here or there, for the general ambience the level seems quite greyish which…
