It should be pretty much just like having it start on level start, you just switch out the "level startup" node with a "trigger touch status" node or something. I used a trigger volume rather than a trigger but it works the same way. This will activate the camera and it will stay in that view until the end of the matinee…
lol, not quite, i just didn't have an eraser handy when i was shadowing the crotch i was just blocking in the big shadows, and the way the statue was lit, the crotch had some of the darkest shadows... both times i slapped my forehead when i remembered i didn't have an eraser handy >_<
I found a lovely environment concept from Connor Sheehan on Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/68xeOr and had to create a 3d version! I absolutely loved creating the cat statues, and I learned how to create foliage through this project! Overall, I had a great time and I'm excited to keep making new 3d pieces!
ebagg ... you're wrong and confusing too. A good share of my career was spent as a freelancer. The good advice in this thread does nto start until you get down to robioto. Here's my experience: No client is going to withhold taxes for you. That is your responsibility. Period. You are going to be liable for federal, state,…
Making damage states is a pain in the ass. The method I've used for sims and stuff is always canned: You just hide the swapped mesh with lots of smoke, debris and flames. Also the "shatter" and break mels I have found over the years ALWAYS kill the UV's, and if it doesn't kill the first UV, it kills the second UV or the UV…
I'm a newbie with Maya, just started last night with it. I have a cube which I want one of the faces to have an Z coordinate of 33. I entered the coordinate into the Transform box on the status line, but the Channel Box/Layer Editor shows a coordinate value of 32 while the Component Editor shows 33. Why are these values…
Here's a good flickr gallery from this years' Comic Con in San Diego. Any body go and take some good pics? http://www.flickr.com/photos/teohyc/sets/72157621782417352/ There's a photo in there of that one entry from Zbrush Central's Superhero contest this year. Guess they did up a nice 3d print and made it into a statue.
This is a new character I'm working on. I decided to model her face after classical Greco-Roman statues, but I might end up changing that if the mood strikes me. Everything below the waist is pretty rough at the moment. My original inspiration was this picture, particularly the mannequin all the way to the right. I really…
I quite fancied having a go at making some FX using Pop Art for direction (whilst it doesn't fit in the categories much, it's a bit of fun to try out). Playing with halftone generation in the shader: https://youtu.be/Eccjk0FHNkY I'm not sure what "status effect" it might result in, but maybe I'll need to go in the fire/ice…
Hey Eric, thanks for your interest and for poking into powerpreview . As far i remember all those things should toggle of as soon as you press "Go" or "snapshot", but possibly some incompatibility prevents that. Here is the last version i actually worked on exactly 10yrs ago , after that i stopped development for one…
