Looks like this guy I know named Jay Lavoie....oooohhh snap!! :P (cries inside) Alright, that was a late night uber lame thing to say. I really love you Jay...really...I sometimes sit in your chair at work and rock myself to sleep. Anyways, fantastic work Ry. I really love to see the gradient of talent in artists. From the…
I don't buy that people would want to work in this industry just because they enjoy working in games. Would you really turn up to work if you were not getting paid? I joined the games industry because that's what I studied in, changing career path is awkward and it's reasonable pay. I thoroughly enjoy my job but at the end…
Hey guys, My pc has 16 gb ram. my graphics card (GeForce RTX 2080) has 8 gb as well. But when I render in Substance Painter my memory goes up to 98% at at some point. The CPU is maxed out, but my GPU is just sitting there at 0%. Anybody know what i can do about it? I checked some settings but can't find any gpu rendering…
the seam is from split normals, the mesh is intact, vertices are welded. there is also a seam in the UVs as seen in the previous post. im not using a projection cage, but the ray distance. any other tips? i hate it when theres some crap like this that keeps it from being a perfect bake.. i may just resort to performing a…
Use Mental Ray, it's optimized to handle large scenes. And you can increase the memory it uses if you need to in the Processing tab of the render dialog. Change the Memory Limit to a higher number. Close other programs that may be running. Turn off "Rendered Frame Window". Actually, you know what?, just go here:…
i used ray distance calculate but i wasnt sure if i had to input this values or it did it itself and geometry interference right and if i did view it in 3d previewer but it may likely crash how do i align them more appropriately or should i just import each piece seperately and combine two of each map together?
Some ideas: - Sure all the LP's face are UV mapped and not overlapped. - Render an object-space normal map to see if it's a problem with the tangent space computation. - Don't use 3dsmax's max2obj exporter, it's very buggy. Use Guruware's one or SBM. - Render a "wireframe and ray fails map" to see if rays are failing or…
You can simply merge all of your model parts into single scene and place them by leaving a small gap between them to prevent casting the rays onto each other. When baking complete you can retrieve back to unexploded model where the parts are placed on their original positions. Using separate files for each object is…
WIP 10 For a long time I did not post anything here. Do not pay attention to the railing, i thinking about silhouette. Made of 80 percent low poly models, so then i done gate and ship we can clean rebake all this meshes. do good lightmaps and can texture all this stuff Also if i have time I would like to add asymmetrical…
