I made a feed of General discussion to try out dapper. If the mods don't want to enable the native vBulletin feed I'll make dapper feeds for all the other forums.…
Hi, This seems to be possible. My guess is that you would write this in glsl (make sure glsl plugin is enabled). Then call out to the shader via OpenMaya. There's some documentation on setting up a computer shader through OpenMaya here:…
I think sticking to the grid is a must when building modular stuff. You really want to keep to the grid on for the larger parts that define the structure and then you can disable the grid for the smaller items like windows etc. Keeping to the grid will enable easy snapping of the modular parts and save time messing about…
Running win7 here, upgraded from vista 64x. All i can say is "HOLY SHIT". 7 with aero enabled and no tweaks runs MUCH smoother than vista with aero turned OFF and every possible performance tweak in use. Core2 duo @ 2.6 ghz 5 gig ram nvidia gts250
Neo_God: Well, hm, are those other words for "reality"? As for the first version of the holodeck, I heard that debuted a few years back on some science expo. SoulReaper: I hope you're using the "no pain" cheat... Though I guess I would pay for seeing you try to take on a Ninja with pain enabled...

If your displacement already has fine details then you can enable autobump in arnold. This will turn fine displacements into…
