Another update! Added some new bits, and did a quick pose in Zbrush. Can't wait to get on to texturing this! I still need to add some more bits, and add some detail onto his hair (plus finish the goggles and refine some areas further).
did a bunch of tweaks to the lighting today and added: +decals +gate, box, rubble, wire models + lighting work +scene set-up need to add: +make trip for brick windows +add water streak decals for the windows +maybe 1 more garbage prop :poly141:
Drop this attitude man. The moment an artist starts to think too much of himself, that is the moment he stops getting better. Always think that you are one step behind top artists and that you will work hard to catch up with them. There will always be someone better than you. Regarding your portfolio: I see you can use…
hey this looks absolutely stunning man!! fantastic work. Would you mind sharing a buit more about your custom hair shader? How did you get eveyrthing so sharp and no blotchy shadows from the alpha?
A sculpt i completed for a zbrush challenge in school. Any feedback would be appreciated it was polypainted and sculpted in zbrush and brought in to photoshop to add some textures to make it look nicer to present. I composited some render passes from keyshot into photoshop afterwards. i did want to add some skin details on…
@TrampledUnderFoot - thanks! I did make them a little chunkier Here's the base for my sculpt. I did control edges today. There are a couple parts I don't like but it's not bad for now. Now I'm going to add some wear--not too much though! Should be interesting.
Nothing to add that wasn't said. I think you did a good job of creating the concept. maybe could add those pointy parts at back of feet. You might wanna try baking detail from a higher poly mesh or making a normal from a hipoly mesh.
Looks like I wasn't the only one caught up in some real life sh*t :/ I doubt as hell I can complete this by the end of the month now but I'll try to complete as many props as possible at least. @JustMe Thanks a lot for taking the time to make that picture, that helped big time. Don't read too much into what I said. You may…
Thanks for the further crits. The engine area does seem lacking detail and parts, I'm no expert on mechanics so I can't spot what's missing from just knowing what should be there! I need to get some more reference I think. Renderhjs - I think your suggestions are spot on, I need to add a bunch more of the little engine…
hey there! sweet stuff so far. enjoying the anatomy a lot here, could be sharper/refined but love the direction on the hardsurface i guess its mostly detailled blockout. but i feel like its a bit too soft-ish for blizzard type of work. it has this rubbery feel to it, edge quality is all over the place, some areas are very…
