Wood does not look like that, Each leg would be its own wood piece with its own wood grain and wth the arms. Right now you have a flat texture mapped across the entire uv space so its all going in same direction. The model itself is also one piece and needs to be separated, legs, arms and so on -

Naw. Still trying to figure out how to rig this thing . . . Seriously, it might be an all nighter for me today. Like a good friend of mine did a quick dirty rig with a script he grabbed from Creative Crash, but I'm trying to figure out wth he did and how to adjust it so I don't get the legs moving the tunic, etc. -

jes cuz he hasn't been mentioned yet: Jean Girard ( Moebius ) got to do the 5th element before his death. Beside European or Japanese visions what most people call star wars I see 2001. In which case everything clean n white is Kubrick/ starwars everything dystopian and gritty is Scott/Bladerunner, Alien. -

I've recently bought a book but found out its a bit outdated but maybe theres still some useful info in there. I am using maya so far for this scene. -

They're useful in these applications as long as you can change the settings for your buttons per program. Which you should check if that's possible. I wouldn't recommend a pen tablet for Maya or 3ds Max though, it sounds great, but it's... really not. I sometimes even hate to use my tablet for Zbrush, especially when… -

not a final boss, but Devil May Cry 3's Angi and Rudra. Angi and Rdura is the reason a shit ton of people never even finished that game and those dudes were like the 4th boss and the HARDEST boss in the entire game. Also not a last boss but, Fire Leo in Viewtiful Joe 1... go to hell! That took me like 4 hours to do! -
