Per - I checked out that Asus board out and it looks pretty good. I went with a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 on my new rig. It had great reviews on New Egg and has solid caps. Using the 8600 as well since it seemed to have the most bang for the buck at the time. Running a dual boot of vista ultimate x64 and XP pro x32. Currently…
Hello everyone. This is a multi-part question. The gist of the question is, what software do you use to organize and preview your textures, what tagging/naming conventions do you use, and how do you organize these files into categories and hierarchies to allow you to quickly find the perfect texture for the job. The reason…
There could be a painfully obvious answer, but right now I don't really see a way to do it. So I've already modeled a pokeball and I was to add the stripes from a great ball example here: http://i.gyazo.com/a12af1d8079a244977e116306c8932db.png What I'm trying right now is to just create it with vertexes, but I don't know…

This is in no way a requirement. Modern/Realistic stuff is…
Not sure if this is the right place to ask. The only thing I found that looked promising was "Stylized Dungeon Environment in Maya" from 3dmotive, but I'm looking for more, so I was wondering if you guys know anything good besides that. I'm wiling to spend a lot of money on this.
I'm turning the cheek even if he did steal my line... ____________________ <- This is the line where the drama stops. If it spills over this line I say good day to this thread, tut tut GOOD DAY! heh. Now lets try and keep the train on track where ninjas delicately put it. This means no more recapping and quoting the…
Looks like I done did something spaz while trying to help out a few of the entries that just missed the deadline and nuked the whole submissions thread! EEP! More after the jump. With the time difference and the short time the thread was open, a few members didn't get a chance to get their entries posted in time. Because…
Don't make the eyes too large, they're one of the few details that can establish scale. If you look in the original concept, the eyes are quite small compared to the size of the beast. They're that way so that the beast seems even larger since large eyes on such beasts are a bit redundant.
