I made this in my free time in studio. This Engine room is based on a concept art by Jeremy lover http://jeremylove.com/?p=676. Modeling and texturing done in 3ds Max and Photoshop. I'm not a fan of the idles, it feels forced. I almost feel something more peaceful will work better, remove the life from it and let it just sway in the wind. The idle alt as it is now feels akward, maybe if there was more twist in the rope, so those cube peices also spun it would feel better, but even then, it just feels… -

Surface Distortion in Vertex Joining
Hi, On my model, I apply chamfer to the edges to soften it. In the upper part of the chamfer, the vertexes remain idle.
